You can add anyone with a POL account to your friends list.
- On the menu screen during Final Fantasy XI you can access the friends list and use it to see who is online, read/send messages or change your online status from "online", "away" or "invisible".
- During FFXI you can add someone to your friend list by typing the command:
- /befriend NAME
- For example if you wanted to add a player named Drow you would type:
- /befriend Drow
- You can also send messages and see who is online through POL.
- Sending a messaged is generally used instead of having to log in or out of Final Fantasy XI to speak with someone else.
- Note: Even if someone is not paying for a FFXI account but has POL installed they can send messages.
