Merit Point Enhancement

  • Category: Job-specific - Group 1 (Red Mage)
  • Limits: 5 levels per element (Merit Point progression: 1>2>3>4>5 = 15 points total for each enhancement, 2 separate enhancements can be capped)
  • Description: Each level increases your accuracy with spells based on the element of your choice (fire, ice, wind, earth, lightning, or water) by 3, for a maximum bonus of +15 accuracy in the chosen element.
  • Nukes cast from the chosen element will have a better chance to do full damage or a lesser tier of resistance, and Debuffs associated with the element will have a better chance to take effect with more magic accuracy; See Magic Accuracy for further details. These merits are particularly effective in conjunction with the Red Mage's tier II merit debuffs.
  • Example: Earth Magic Accuracy is merited. Slow II, an earth-based debuff spell, has an improved chance of "sticking" on the target. Stone III has an improved chance to reach its full damage potential, as well.
  • In order to increase the accuracy of Blind and other Dark magic based spells you either need to merit additional levels of Blind II or under the "Magic Skills" of Merits, merit out Dark Magic Skill. thus two ways that DOES exist to accomplish this. I replaced the comment that Dark Magic Accuracy is not possible to merit by red mage, it is just not the same way these merits work.~Itikuo~
