Historical Background[]
In Christian demonology (Late Medieval- Early Modern European), Dantalian (also spelled Dantalion), is a demon with the rank of Great Duke of Hell, commanding 36 legions of demons. He can take the form of any human, male or female. He can teach his conjurer all manner of arts and sciences and he also can read the thoughts of everyone and manipulate their thoughts as well. He can also make his conjurer look like anyone they wish and teleport them to any part of the world. Dantalian is 1 of 72 demons listed in the Ars Goetia (the first section of the Lesser Key of Solomon). He does not appear in the Pseudomonarchia Dæmonum.
