:*Soloable by: PUP75/PLD37 Stormwaker Frame and liberal use of [[Ventriloquy]] and [[Retrieve]]. After the first Aero III, use [[Ventriloquy]], [[Sentinel]], [[Flash]], and WS if you have TP. Automaton's ~450 Damage [[Aero III]] cuts this down to a 10 minute fight. Using your puppet for cures only is viable but will lengthen the battle considerably.

Diamond Daig is not hard to hit even with his evasion bonus up, so consider an attack food like [[Carbonara]]. [[Raging Fists]] will do more than any other WS (up to 200ish); [[One Inch Punch]] does about 75 consistently and isn't worth it. Diamond Daig has a lot of difficulty connecting with its hits and will land attacks around 25-60 with VIT64+11 and Defense 299.

Historical Background

This name follows the standard naming format used for early NMs, an adjective followed by a personal name. Diamond refers to the precious gem made from Carbon and renowned for its incredible hardness. This part of his name most likely refers to how hard his carapace is. Daig is a very uncommon Irish name which means "fire".
