Notes:
- Spawned by trading a Granulated Sugar to a ??? at (J-6) on the second map of Halvung.
- Very high Fast Cast.
- On occasion, Dextrose will run to a nearby Ebony Pudding and drain it to regain up to 25% of it's own HP.This will aggro the pudding depending on how far it is from the party.
- One way to help control this is to target the closest Ebony Pudding and nuke/sleep it until it is below 10% then pop Dextrose. With this method, Dextrose will almost always attempt to go for the pudding you have already weakened, thus limiting the amount of HP it can recover.
- Another method, if you have sufficient party members, is to kill the 5 Ebony Puddings near by. If there are no Ebony Puddings within a set distance to it{possible Widescan range?), then it will not attempt to heal himself.
- With this method though, all 5 Ebony Puddings and Dextrose must be killed within 12 minutes as the first Ebony Pudding killed will have re-spawned again at this time-limit.
- Spams Amplification (if not dispelled this stacks to the point that nukes cause very little damage).
- For us, his TP move of choice was Boiling Point, which he used every 10-20 seconds, including at the start of battle before he was given any TP. Likely has high Regain, or doesn't require TP to use special attacks.
- Counters weaponskills with Amorphic Spikes, targeting the user of the weaponskill regardless of who has hate.
- Immune to Sleep.
- Gravity and Stun will work.
Historical Background
Dextrose (D-glucose) is a stereoisomer (molecules with the same composition and connectivity, but different arrangements in three-dimensional space, such that chirality, or handedness, may (but not necessarily) be imparted to the molecule) of the monosaccharide (simple sugar) glucose, the primary product of cellular respiration and photosynthesis. The other stereoisomer of glucose, L-glucose, cannot be used by cells for energy. Its molecular formula is C6H12O6.
