Notes:
- The Devil Manta in Kuftal Tunnel can only be reeled in once every 10 minutes, but may take a few hours longer. Also depending on how many mobs are up, 2 Pugil and 2 Snipper can guarantee next mob fished up will be Devil Manta. More people fishing does not mean the Devil Manta will be fished up, can take hours even with 11 people fishing and 10 minutes with 2 people fishing, its random.
- Theoretically it's in the bounds of possibility for Devil Manta to take up to hours/days/years/centuries even with 2 Snipper and 2 Pugil out of the water, however, this is very unlikely to happen unless the people who are fishing Devil Manta fail multiple times to reel it out of the water.
- Upon an unsuccessful attempt at reeling Devil Manta results in the window of Devil Manta to reset to another 12 minutes from the time of failed reel.
- More people fishing doesn't necessarily mean a higher chance of fishing up Devil Manta, but rather, the frequency of fishing out Devil Manta becomes greater.
- The 2 Pugil and 2 Snipper must be alive outside of the water for an increase in Devil Manta "chance." The chance is of course, random.
- Also, I've been fishing for over 5 years and I have never experienced or seen Devil Manta to pop @ 10 minutes. The earliest pop time I've witness is 12 minutes. ( Like Tonberry Pursuers ) - animasoda/tooshay
- Very random stamina depletion, occasionally will be much more difficult than others.
- Easily soloed by a THF75/DNC37 using Sambas and Waltz as needed.
- Easily soloed by a THF75/NIN37 using bloody bolts for hp and sleep bolts to recast shadows.
- Easily soloed by a SAM75/THF37 using self-skillchain to start off and keeping Seigan and Third Eye up.
- Easily soloed by a MNK71/DNC35 using Drain Samba II and Curing Waltz II. No problems at all.
- Easily soloed by a PUP75/THF37. No problems at all.
- Macroing in Bibiki Seashell is a very helpful strategy to come out of this fight with the least amount of damage taken. (note: switching from a fishing rod & tackle to Bibiki Seashell and then back to rod & tackle will not deplete your TP)
- The Devil Manta in Cape Teriggan no longer spawns as of the same update that added the Goblin Bounty Hunter, to help alleviate illegal fishing and RMT activities.
