The weaponskills are an effect on the weapon, meaning you can ONLY use them while that weapon is equiped, period. The skill not usable without the power of the fully (or in dynamis, stage 4 at least) relic weapon. The Mystic Weapon's skills work differently, so they're usable with other weapons, but the relic ones are too powerful for a normal adventurer to use with just any weapon of the type, so they need the power of that weapon to do it. ^_^ Make sense? Not too often, about 5% of the time. I haven't done any accurate testing to verify this, but I found 5% seems a very common number for some additional and hidden effects, and this felt about the same. [[User:Zaphor|Zaphor]] 06:52, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Fully-Upgraded Relic Weapons List

List of relic holders has been moved into its own separate article here. Move was done so that this section can be better utilized as a place to talk about the article it accompanies (i.e. the actual weapons, rather than who has them).

Talk

Old Talk posts from the last revision also deleted and transferred, since they were discussing the list and not the Relic_Weapons article.

Currency

Added a verifaction tag on that average currency number per run. 100 pieces a run sounds very low if you're doing any cities at all. 200-300 seems like a much more reasonable number, even without any hundred drops. -- Jibini

That is indeed a very low estimate, unless you do nothing but xarcabard and CoP areas.

Yoichi

Is there an error on the currency ?? There are no Bynes for it ?? That has to be a mistake.

DPS + TP Gain

I was just wondering shouldn't there be two values for the DPS and TP gain due to the different damage depending upon dynamis or not? the 2tage 3 Dagger does (dynamis dagger) but the others i looked at don't (speciffically the scythes wanted to work out which DPS is better from Death and Dynamis Scythe to see if i needed to buy a new Death for Upgrading), I would add it but unsure how this is caculated --Daveie 20:19, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Activating 2?

This is a ludacris question but is it possible to have 2 relic weapon quests active or is only 1 possible til its completed? FFXI-Revenant 10:38, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

It's not actually a quest. You can have multiple relics at different stages, but I don't think you can have more than one thing in the possession of the goblin @ castle zvhal at a time. i.e. you have to get your weapon (at whatever stage) back from him before you can give him something else. Not 100% sure on this, though. Tahngarthortalk-contribs 07:29, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

A Word of Warning..?

Is that section really necessary? Personally I don't think it fits the wiki style and people really should be aware of what they're doing without us telling them. It's already said that it is very money and time consuming, and people can calculate it themselves, all the necessary information is given. Also, the information in that particular section is extremely vague, since it greatly depends on one's server's economy and other factors. A friend of mine got Amanomurakumo in a few months, since he had the means to do so, another friend of mine has been working on Aegis for three years now, it really depends on people's playing style and activity. For some people it's not even that big of a deal since it's not their primary objective and they just collect some currency here and there and get the relic weapon after three or four years, and still don't care that it takes that long. If people start a relic weapon and realize they can't do it after all, it's them who screwed up and wiki can't be held responsible for that. Zaphor 07:44, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

I agree that this should be removed, in large part because it's not even that accurate anymore, and will be even less so after the upcoming update. It should be fairly obvious that this is a significant undertaking and it's no one's fault but the user's if they start it and never finish. Tahngarthortalk-contribs 07:27, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Update picture?

Relic Weaponskills?

  • How are these unlocked? Do you have to actually have the corresponding Relic Weapon equipped to use them, or is it more along the lines of the Mythic Weapons in which unlocking the weapon also unlocks the weaponskill (for all weapons of that type)?
