After farming them for a while, I noticed that the Ladybugs' TP attack "Sudden Lunge" seems to damage themselves as well. I tested this on the Ladybugs in East Ronfaure (S), I was fighting at night (So they would only use this TP attack), turning away and letting it hit me until it gained enough TP. When it used the attack, it's HP also dropped by a small chunk. I'm not sure how much HP it loses, as it seems to vary. First test on a Ladybug, it dropped 5%, but later, while fighting Skogs Fru, it used the attack, and it's HP dropped nearly 10% (I'm unsure the exact amount, since I was engaged and attacking this time, but my attacks weren't doing nearly 10% a hit). If the move misses, however, the Ladybug loses no HP. Further testing may be needed, but I thought I'd bring this to everyone's attention. Tirell 17:12, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Further testing: It seems like it is impossible for the Ladybug to kill itself with the use of this attack. I left it fall to 2% HP before turning away, and using Sudden Lunge only dropped it to 1% (Average HP loss seems to be 5-10%). Tirell 17:42, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
I have had at least one Ladybug kill itself with Sudden Lunge while farming on my RNG75 in E.Ron[S]. Zarozinia, Bahamut
The Ladybugs page states that this move damages them whether they hit or not. This is untrue; it only damages them if they hit with it. At least, for Ladybugs it does. I couldn't say for sure if this is the case with other members of the same species. Sane Wonko 06:58, December 15, 2009 (UTC)
day/night or day of week or what?[]
hey, i was doing some experiments to test the pup evasion attachments, and in my parsing i ran into an odd situation. one of my tests yielded some extraneous data. with the accelerators when you use a wind maneuver the evasion of your automaton goes up. well, i was testing the second tier of the attachment and it ended up being less evasive using a wind maneuver than not. the only things i can think of would be a day/night mod on the ladybug's acc or something to do with the day of the week or a compound of both. the test with the worst result was done at night on darksday. i repeated it on firesday at night and got similar, though not as bad, results. anyone done any testing as to what changes based on the days or day/night with these things?

Ladybug tp moves[]
While leveling bst in East Ronfaure I noticed that my pet would use tp moves that are stated as only being able to be seen during the day, during the night. I am unsure if the current information on these tp moves in incorrect (only used during daytime) or if the sic command is special in that it allows the use of these during night. Resistance to Sleep?[]
I was soloing the Goblin's Ladybugs as black mage and noticed they have a resistance to sleep. I am very convinced that they have it, they would always wake up before the normal duration and even woke up before their goblin master who is a few levels higher than it. I haven't tried on any other ladybugs or with a different element of sleep if that could make a difference. Has anyone else noticed this as a trait to the ladybugs? I didn't see any note of it on their page. --Wabafet 04:31, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Wind Weakness?[]
Seems wrong to me, Dipper Yuly is highly resistant to wind rather than weak to it. --Sakuraryong 02:13, September 11, 2010 (UTC) Editing this, they also take reduced damage from earth. At least Yuly did during ODS. 300 aoe to me did 100 to Yuly constantly.
