Goblin Job Distribution

I think he removed the chart because the distribution has changed widely since then, but then again it's not fair to remove it without getting an updated chart to replace it. --Charitwo 16:16, 22 March 2007 (EDT)

But it says "as of". It is more information than not having it there. --Gahoo 16:32, 22 March 2007 (EDT)

Then may as well revert it back then until an updated chart can be procured. --Charitwo 16:34, 22 March 2007 (EDT)

So I don't loose it:
GoblinJobs

Why do you say it has changed widely since then? Just curious. --Gahoo 16:35, 22 March 2007 (EDT)

New areas and Goblin/Moblin additions through modifications/additions to CoP expansion and the introduction of the ToAU expansion pack. Seeing as how ToAU was introduced after May 2005 and CoP areas have been altered since then as well. Bibiki Bay is a prime example for CoP, and Moblin additions in ToAU. --Charitwo 16:43, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
Stealth edit - I understand all that - but I have no reason to believe the percentages materially changed. --Gahoo 17:25, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
Why do you say that? You're saying the addition of Moblins in ToAU and the adjustment of them in CoP didn't change the raw job percentages? I also forgot to mention the Goblin NMs found in the starter CoP Dynamis areas, which were also introduced after May 2005. --Charitwo 17:39, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
I think he's saying he just doesn't know one way or the other. If there were 5 red mages and 5 black mages before (and no other jobs), and now there's 7 red mages and 7 black mages, then the percentages didn't change. They probably have changed very slightly, but I doubt they've changed widely. --Divisortheory 17:43, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
Priran has stated his reasons for removing the chart: "It was covering the image behind it and I have no idea how to move it." However, I am sure that it has changed since the census, as Halvung Moblins only come as WHM and RDM (although WHM and RDM DID get special treatment over other Moblins, as seen with Gurneymen, Ashmen, Groundmen, and maybe a few more), and Limbus and Dreamworld Dynamis also alter it, such as the 4 Bubu Goblin NM (unless they're not taking NMs into consideration, which I doubt). --Joped 21:34, 22 March 2007 (EDT)

This can be solved by including the picture, but placing a disclaimer on the caption that mentions the date, and the fact that it applies, now, to non-TAU areas. --Chrisjander 17:19, 22 March 2007 (EDT)

Agreed. --Gahoo 17:25, 22 March 2007 (EDT)

Bomb Toss...

The line "When "Goblin readies Bomb Toss" if the goblins target changes, i.e. member pulls significant hate, before bomb has been tossed, it is belived to be 50% chance of goblin backfiring on Bomb toss." really needs to be changed. I believe it's common knowledge that normal Goblins have three different TP moves, Goblin rush, Bomb Toss, and another Bomb Toss of the same name. One is the suicide and one is the normal AoE damage. The Goblin decides which one to use before it shows anything in the log so moving around/causing it to switch targets will do absolutely nothing. Not going to edit anything yet because I'm not totally sure, but I'm 99.9% sure that that's how it works.

--- I edited out the "When "Goblin readies Bomb Toss" if the goblins target changes, i.e. member pulls significant hate, before bomb has been tossed, it is belived to be 50% chance of goblin backfiring on Bomb toss." for the reasons listed above. It is much better to keep speculation like this on the discussion page and at best indicate on the main page to check the discussion page for more information.

Honestly, the burden for posting information on the main page should be well beyond just speculation, and the burden for removing speculation should be much lower.Ringthree 16:40, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

I also agree there is 2 different bomb tosses, and they cannot be forced to fail. Was watching a Lv75 DRG get resting agro from a low level goblin. 20 mins later the goblin finally got enough TP from hitting her to use bomb toss, and the goblin killed itself. The DRG was AFK the whole time and never moved. I rocky 06:01, May 12, 2010 (UTC)
