Changed the page layout to match the ZM and ToAU pages.
Quests vs. Cutscenes seems to be a little bit subjective. I did my best to figure out which is which, if you disagree please discuss it here and we can update it. Thanks --Spops 12:32, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
- The ones marked as "quest" still seem to be just cutscenes. I would consider if you have to go farm something to get an item, that would be quest. If you have to go do a BCNM or fight/pop a NM (not to be mixed with farming, if it is a NM that is popped to drop something specific I would consider it fight), that would be fight. If you just have to run around and click on things that would be cutscene. --Wayka †Talk† 18:05, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
Like i said this seems to be subjective. I based my decisions off of this (taken from the ToAU page):
Types: Cutscene is a single cutscene or multiple cutscenes in town. Quest is an assignment to go somewhere (possibly dangerous) for a cutscene or to retrieve/deliver an item, but no fighting required. Fight requires you to fight a Notorious Monster.
For the items i marked as "Quests" I did so because there cutscenes require you to go out of town for them. Such as in Promathia Mission 2-4 whre you have to go to Misareaux Coast for a Cutscene. --Spops 08:42, 12 September 2007 (CDT)
About the "Prep Tips!" section on several pages
Lately there have been "prep tips" popping up on most missions' articles and I was thinking... can we please just remove them completely from every page? They just don't belong there. These can't be considered as information regarding the missions, but only guides (and for the most part really bad ones), and as such always contain subjective information. Most guides even have a huge colored sign that states just that (the Guide and UserGuide template).
I would suggest to remove them completely, since they're very subjective and are only remotely useful to very specific party setups and discourage people to try new (and easier and a lot cheaper) methods. Having done PM myself with most of these guides, and several times too, I rarely found any use for them. They also distract from the actual content and don't just concern "preparation" but also actual bad combat strategies, so you find yourself scrolling up and down the article the whole time only to find vague or not applicable information.
If someone wants to keep them for whatever reason, we can put them on a subpage /Guide for every page, like with events (which would make a lot of sense for most missions/quests, if the actual guides weren't as bad as this). Either way, they don't belong on the missions' articles. I would remove them myself, but wanna hear what other people have to say about it first before I just start to remove stuff...
