Please delete this page. The information has been copied/merged to Category:Campaign:_Special_Ops.

Campaign:_Special_Ops is currently on the quest page but with no info. There is now 3 pages for the same thing. --Lito 04:06, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

All of Campaign, including the missions and the battles, should probably be under its own category like Salvage, and then redirected. Probably needs a general rundown of Campaign and all the trackers, like the maps and the medals. Then the Ops and the Battles and whatever else Campaign has to offer. It seems like it will be a huge job to sort through. It probably needs a Quick Link in the sidebar. --Meara 00:45, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

I agree, the this page should focus more on the specifics of how Campaign works. There is also the non-category page that could be used as the start for that. Right now, this page is just redundant and does not contain the information that the other campaign special ops page contains. --Yajirobe 16:56, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

"A new medal can be earned after a period of five real time days (according to JP Midnight)." I don't think this is exactly true, as last night the NPC told me I could get another evaluation in 1 day, and then this morning after JP midnight, he still was saying I could get one in 1 day. I'm guessing it recharges at the same time as your Op Credits do (which for me is ~6.5 hours after JP midnight; I think it is based on when you first got your Bronze Ribbon of Service), but I don't know for certain. --Kyrie 16:51, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

I wrote down the date and time I recieved my first medal in order to get the next as soon as possible. It was at 8:30pm. I tried five days later at 8:30pm and it asked me for another day. I tried again just past JP midnight the following day (which is 11am my time) and was able to get the rank up. Perhaps this does co-incide with Ops credits, but that doesn't make much sense since there are several parts to Campaign, not just Ops. I'll time it again and see what happens the next medal.--Meara 22:54, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Assessment Verification Please

It currently says that if you ask for an evaluation, but are not qualified for next level, you lose all progress towards that level and have to start over. That just doesn't make logical sense to me. How will you know if you advanced if you keep restarting over at zero just for asking? Can someone either clarify or verify this statement please. --FFXI-Mierin Talk / Contrib 08:30, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

There are 2 routes you can go with an eval if you don't qualify for a rank up. If you choose to keep your current rank and just want to reset the timer to 30 days, you will lose all your progress toward your next rank. I think when you are asked the second time if you are sure you want to do this and you say no, you will keep your existing progress toward the next rank and try an evaluation again later. I don't remember exactly how the conversation goes, but I know when I was asked if I was sure, I said no and was able to do a few more things and they try my eval again. There seems to be a slight discrepancy on the page here. It says you need a certain amount of Allied Notes to get the next rank up, but it also says you require exactly 5000xp from campaign battles. So... do you need xp or notes and if notes is the more prominent measure of ranking up, how many notes are required for rank up? Reiryuu 13:19, 6 January 2008 (UTC)Reiryuu
