This should be moved to Category:Flans[]

Botulus Rex is just a flan with an unusual appearance, not a seperate mob type. the addition of a crown does not make a new family, as proven by Tonberry Kinq, plus every other HNM with altered appearance (the shijin, Lacovie, Hadhayosh, ect).

Botuli[]

The mobs' movements/animations are completely different, the mob model is different, and they share no TP moves in common with Flans. What more could you want? It not to be a blob? BlueGartyr acknowledges Botuli (http://wiki.bluegartr.com/bg/Category:Botulus), and there is more than one Botulus in the game now: see Paramount Botulus. There's really no argument for it being a flan (from a gameplay perspective) when everything is different except for the familiar, adorably ugly face.

Bombs, Snolls, and Djinn are much more similar, and yet are accepted as separate families: at least they are identical (except color), share animations, and have similar TP moves.

Here's a movie of Botulus Rex in motion:

He stops staggering and starts moving around 1:10. You can see his different movements, his different body structure (huge stomach when flans have no stomach at all; fluid motions; mantle of goo that trails behind him and hands from his arms; and several layers of goo form its body).

Here's a flan:

Gum drop shape, rigid movements, no stomach, no mantle, no crown, and of course, completely different set of TP moves. --Blue Donkey Kong 07:55, May 29, 2012 (UTC)
