The Padlock in the {{Protected}} template
Pages are protected for a number of reasons:
- Information from Square Enix which are mirrored on the FFXIclopedia are protected to ensure the integrity of the Square Enix material (protected, but not listed).
- FFXIclopedia Policies, Guidelines, Templates and/or other system-wide pages.
- Pages which are repeatedly vandalized.
- Pages in which there is a near constant disagreement amoung community members and which would otherwise therefore be in a near constant state of flux.
Note: Placing a page in this category does NOT automatically protect it. Protection can only be applied by administrators.
