Jeunoan Architecture ~ PortLowerUpperRu'Lude Gardens

Despite popular speculation that the city of Jeuno is built on a bridge, it is in fact built on a small island in the Straits and is links by bridges to the mainland on both shores of the Bastore Sea. There can be no other explanation for the tunnel that exists between Jeuno and Qufim Island, and this would also explain the recent reports of Moblin activity tunnelling under the city.

That being said, there are sections of the city that are, indeed, built on the bridge spans, and these would probably account for the original misconception of the entire city being on bridges. The city, built of stone for the most part, is cylindrical in design. The entire center core is taken up with the residential area, and is capped off with the Quadrangle and the Consulates in Ru'Lude Gardens. Around this center pillar are the stairways that connect each floor with those above and below and also connect the Mog House entrances with the respective floors. The floors themselves are in 4 layers, like a giant wedding cake!

Ru'Lude Gardens Architecture -

The crowning glory of the City, this pleasant area surrounds the central Quadrangle and features broad paths and promenades, stairs, pillars and elevated plinths which come together in an eye-catching way. The Grand Duke Palace, towering 4 floors above the Quadrangle, provides an imposing centerpiece while the consulates and auction house give more substance to the scheme.

Upper Jeuno Architecture -

The quiet backwater of urban life, Upper Jeuno is the actually a key piece in the makeup of Jeuno. From the imposing clock tower, the Chocobo Stables, the cranes that haul cargo up from the docks below, the infirmary, several thriving businesses, the large church, private residences and the Marble Arch Inn, Upper Jeuno has something for everyone!

Lower Jeuno Architecture -

In stark contrast to the quiet in Upper Jeuno, Lower Jeuno is the market area, featuring an extremely busy Auction House, several residences, many businesses and vendors, street gaming tables and more. Here is found the Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the infamous Tenshodo. Despite the space available on the west side, much of the east side length of Lower Jeuno is taken up by two whole floors of residences, shops and businesses.

Port Jeuno Architecture -

As it's name would suggest, this is the center for the Air Travel Agency docks for the airships that serve Bastok, San d'Oria and Windurst as well as Kazham. Each departure point has its own docks, along with ticket offices, customs, etc. Also found here are street vendors, some of whom hide behind structures which may indicate the 'legality' of their wares. There are also several businesses here, and one unique feature is the underground Auction House, Duty Free shop and Choco Stables!
