Bombs
These enchanted explosives are named for exactly the inanimate objects they most resemble – bombs. Unlike their inanimate counterparts, these bombs float above the ground, and are able to inflict damage without employing their last-ditch self-destruct command. It is, however, that command that makes attacking these monsters so dangerous. In some instances a self-destructing bomb can defeat an adventurer in one shot – that the bomb itself is also defeated is small consolation.
Bombs typically drop bomb arms and ash, although some have been observed dropping keys. Also, bomb arms can be stolen from every bomb, including Notorious Monsters. The arms and ash can be used in a few recipes, but their supply usually outstrips demand. As has been elsewhere reported, the exact relationship between Bombs, Snolls and Djinn is currently unclear, and they share a number of traits in common, but, for present purposes, are treated as separate families.
