Notes:

  • Spawns on the island at G-11 approximately every 21-24 hours. One Giant Scale is needed to reach the island they spawn on.
  • Doesn't spawn after maintenance, window opens in approximately 21 hours after maintenance.
  • 10 copies of this NM spawn at once, and are located on an island near each other. When one NM is attacked all the rest will link, regardless of how close they are to the attacked NM, or how it was pulled.
  • If you kill a Carmine Dobsonfly in one hit, the others will not link with it (most practical at low HP).
  • All 10 copies respawn at the same time from the time the last one was killed.
  • All the Dobsonflies are susceptible to: Lullaby, Sleep, Silence.
  • They build resistance to Sleep, Bind and Gravity quickly (within about 3-4 casts).
  • Special Attacks: Casts Slowga (over-writes Haste) and Aero II, and Haste on itself, in addition to standard fly TP moves.
  • Window is reset when the last fly is killed. One-Shotting individual kills will not result in that one repopping 21-24 hours later until the last fly has been killed. Then the ToD is 21-24 from that point.
  • It is quite possible to solo this group of monsters at 60+ THF/DNC with an above-average evasion build and Bloody Bolts(see testimonials)
