- To flag this mission, after finishing your nation's 3 required quests, check any of the Jeuno-area maws, past or present (if present, it must have been activated in the past first), for a cutscene.
- If you have already started the Rhapsodies of Vana'diel mission Cauterize, Cait Sith will hand you the
Lightsworm required to advance to Ganged Up On at the end of this cutscene.

- Complete the next round of Nation quests:
- Bastok: Light in the Darkness, Burden of Suspicion, or
- San d'Oria: Boy and the Beast, Wrath of the Griffon, or
- Windurst: Knot Quite There, A Manifest Problem
- Zone into Southern San d'Oria (S) from East Ronfaure (S) for a cutscene.
- It does not matter what nation you are doing your quests for, you must go to Southern San d'Oria (S).
- You will not get the cutscene by going to Southern San d'Oria (S) via Home Point or Survival Guide; you must walk in from East Ronfaure (S).
