The Avatar Perpetuation Cost is how many MP per tick (approx. 3 seconds) that it costs a Summoner to keep an Avatar out. This cost varies depending on the level of the Summoner and which avatar/spirit is being summoned, as seen on the chart. There are some items, listed below, that will reduce avatar perpetuation cost.

Perpetuation Costs by Level

Alexander and Odin can only be cast during Astral Flow and remain active for only a few seconds and therefore have no perpetuation cost.

Notes

  • With perpetuation cost set to 0 via equipment, the maximum MP gain a Summoner can have is the sum of their Refresh-1. If the amounts are the same, Refresh equipment is superior to -perpetuation equipment since -perpetuation caps out at 0.
  • The Auto Refresh I trait, which a summoner receives at level 25, can be used to bring down the cost of perpetuation, but regardless of how much -perpetuation gear is equipped will not allow you to gain MP while an avatar is out.
  • The Auto Refresh II trait, which a summoner receives at level 90, will allow you to gain 1 mp/tick provided you have other -perpetuation equipment equipped that will zero out the perpetuation cost.
