Note: You need to trade 1 crystal or repeat a previous mission once to advance your Rank Bar enough to obtain this mission.

• This is not a pure stealth mission so you cannot solo it purely with sneak/invisible. Someone has to fight.
• Unrelated long cutscene warning:
  • Entering Lower Delkfutt's Tower will initiate the first mission for Chains of Promathia (if registered).
  • Entering Lower Jeuno will initiate the first mission for A Crystalline Prophecy (if registered).

Mission Summary: Guard > Halver > Great Hall (King) > Ru'Lude Embassy (Nelcabrit) > Delkfutt's Key (top) > trade key to Cermet Door cutscene > Ru'Lude Embassy (recep > door).

Walkthrough

1. San d'Oria - Speak to a San d'Orian Gate Guard to receive the mission "Appointment to Jeuno."
2. Northern San d'Oria (I-7) - Report to Halver in Chateau d'Oraguille. Speak to him until you receive the dialogue starting with "I've been waiting for you."
3. Check the Door:Great Hall behind Halver for a cutscene with His Majesty Royaulais Destin and to receive Letter to the Ambassador.
4. Ru'Lude Gardens (G-9) - Talk to Nelcabrit in the San d'Oria embassy for a cutscene.
5. Qufim Island (F-6) - Head to Delkfutt's Tower.
6. Lower Delkfutt's Tower - Reach the basement. To do so, you will need a Delkfutt Key (drops from Porphyrion).
   • Easy method #1: Someone else goes up the tower.
     • You die and get tractored through the Cermet Door at Lower Delkfutt's Tower (E-8) and raised on the other side.
     • Go down the stairs and enter the blind staircase area (H-8).
     • Spiral up the stairs to zone into Middle Delkfutt's Tower and then Upper Delkfutt's Tower.
     • Someone else kills Porphyrion.
     • Proceed to step 6 below and proceed with the rest of the steps from there.
   • Easy method #2: Your other character goes up the tower for a Delkfutt Key.
     • Send it to another character on the same PlayOnline account via Delivery Box.
     • Lower Delkfutt's Tower (E-8) - Enter the basement through the Cermet Door using the Delkfutt Key.
     • Proceed to step 8 below and continue from there.
   • Method #3 (traditional): Go all the way up the tower to kill Porphyrion (solo: ~Lv45 with healing capability, Lv50ish otherwise).
     • Suggestion: Map of Qufim Island (purchased in Lower Jeuno) and Map of Delkfutt's Tower (quest The Antique Collector).
       • Both maps can also be purchased from Rusese in M & P's Market (Jeuno) H-6.
     • GOING UP THE TOWER - There are 10 floors in the tower divided into 3 parts linked by teleport. Here are the locations of the stairs/teleports (maps also at the bottom):
       • 1st Floor: E-6 Stairs (NW)
       • 2nd Floor: J-10 Stairs (SE, dead-end at H-9, go east first)
       • 3rd Floor: G-6 Teleporter
       • 4th Floor: J-7 Stairs (NE, dead-ends at G-7, H-9, J-9, go the long way around)
       • 5th Floor: H-9 (S, dead-end at I-10, go all the way around-west first)
       • 6th Floor: J-10 Teleporter (SE)
       • 7th Floor: F-6/F-7 Stairs (NW)
       • 8th Floor: (1st time): I-6 Stairs (NE)
       • 9th Floor: (1st time): J-10 *don't drop down the hole at H-10. (SE, this sends you back to 7th floor)
       • 8th Floor: (2nd time): F-9/G-10 -> 9th Floor
       • 9th Floor: (2nd time): F-6 -> 10th Floor Teleport marker on the map.
7. Upper Delkfutt's Tower (Floor 10) (H-8) - Kill Porphyrion for his Delkfutt Key drops.
   • You can lot on the loot pool as long as you're in the same zone (Upper Delkfutt's Tower), as in, the very top of the blind staircase leading from "A" (E-10) in the basement.
   • The keys enter the loot pool. They take up inventory space. Double check you have one before leaving the top of the tower.
   • Mimas might also be up, and he guards the door (H-7) to the room with Porphyrion. Same level NM.
   • If someone else has killed Porphyrion, a ??? will spawn after it dies and you can obtain Delkfutt key by examining it.
8. Head to the Basement - There is an "Elevator" platform (around where Porphyrion spawns) with which you can interact that will leave you on the blind staircase.
   • Spiral down the stairs to zone down into Middle Delkfutt's Tower and then Lower Delkfutt's Tower's Basement.
9. Lower Delkfutt's Tower (M-8) - Once in the basement, cross the large room to a small room and click the Cermet Door for a cutscene.
   • Note: As of the April 2009 update, trading the key to any Cermet Door or the Elevator will turn the key into a key item, allowing the player to drop the inventory key for space, or send it to another character on the same POL account.
10. Ru'Lude Gardens (G-9) - Return to the San d'Orian Embassy.
    • Speak to the receptionist first. Then proceed to the ambassador's office door to receive your reward.

Notes

It is suggested that you start the quest Tenshodo Membership after you get back from the tower. This will make it much easier when you go to do mission 4-1.
