For those who aren't aware, there are 6 zones that were given a new variety of exp mob, called Apex enemies (ie: Apex Crab). These enemies are significantly higher level than others in the area, with insane HP to match. The benefit, however, is that they yield a massive amount of CP (30k from a single chained kill being common), and since they're in Adoulin dungeons, there is no CP party penalty.

Side note: Apex mobs never ever link, not even the Velkk.

Here is the gathered information regarding location and stats:

Apex

Apex monsters are generally fought in a party with either magic bursts as the primary form of damage or a four step skillchain with a strong closer like Leaden Salute. They respawn quickly so that a room of half a dozen or so mobs can result in endless chains.

No Apex monsters link to each other, but most aggro.

Moh Gates

Sight, Sound Four camps at the mouths of the tunnels connecting to the Leech/Chapuli room.

TP Burn, SC/MB, and other party setups will work. Prioritize pulling leeches.

  • TP Drainkiss can interrupt skillchains.
  • Offensive Chapuli abilities give them a stoneskin.

All of the Velkks at this camp may be be aspired.

Jagils are the main target as Velkk can occasionally remove weapons and/or dispel Corsair's Roll/Haste. A good group can quickly burn them down regardless.

In order to get to the camp:

Waypoint in, drop down the vine (south) at (L-8).

Hug the wall left to (K-13), a reive spawns in the way.

From here head west, once at (G-12) head north (another reive spawns in the way) to (G-8) and take the elevator.

Hug the right wall until you get back to the elevator and head back down.

From here proceed west again (another reive spwans in the way...), follow the map to (D-5).

Apex is all non-link.

Apex Draugar (skeleton tribe) is careful about slashing cuts. Ice darkness resistance.

Apex Bhoot careful about the partition (ghost type) is (single instant death). Ice darkness resistance. As a characteristic of the Ghost type, it is resistant to all physical attributes. With MB configuration.

Apex Cyhiraeth (Kahiraeth tribe) careful about sleep tolerance (including light attribute). Ice darkness resistance. The magic defense is high, but the HP is low, so it is suitable for close-range melee party.

Apex Poxhound (undead) is very ice resistant.

Apex Bats (Bat) watch out for jet streams. An ordinary monster that is rare in the inner court, which is full of undead and demons.

Apex Vodoriga (Gargoyle) has high magic defense. Like other demons, it has high magic resistance and avoidance when flying. Difficult to hunt.

Apex Umbril (Ambril) is careful about high physical resistance. Double the damage of fire, earth and light. With MB organization.

Is Powercrazed Dvergr a disturbing character? Tough Fight.

Enigmatic Vampyr Is a disturbing character? Tough Fight

Is Inimical Corse a disturbing character? Be careful this is a tough fight.

Is Dishaveled Naraka a disturbing character? Be careful this is a tough fight.
