• A party of 70+ is recommended.
  • You cannot help others with this BCNM battle if you haven't progressed up to this point in the mission line.
• Use the Runic Portal to reach the Mamool Ja Staging Point on Bhaflau Thickets map 2. From the Staging Point Gate travel north to (H-8) where the zone to Jade Sepulcher is.
• In Jade Sepulcher, examine the Ornamental Door to receive a 5 minute long cutscene. This cutscene will not be repeated when you touch the door again nor when you enter the battlefield.
• Examine the Ornamental Door again and select "Puppet in Peril" to enter the battlefield.
  • This is uncapped, 6 member limit. Buffs ARE removed upon entry. Time limit 30 minutes.
  • The fight is against Lancelord Gaheel Ja, a PLD Mamool Ja riding a wivre.
    • He has approximately 14000 HP.
  • He has extremely high defense and casts Holy, Flash, and Cure IV. He can be Silenced but resists it a lot. BRD Threnodies will make it possible for RDM or WHM to land enfeebles on the NM.
  • He will periodically switch targets randomly, not based on hate. He will announce who his next victim is shortly before he switches targets. This causes a hate reset in the arena and generates a small amount of enmity to the new target.
  • Uses "Clobber", which appears to have a large AoE effect, possibly triggered by people behind him with hate.
  • At 50% HP, he will use "Granite Skin", a Stoneskin derivative. Standard attacks to his front will do no damage (Weapon Skills may do a slight amount of damage), while attacks from behind will still damage him. Dispel appears to have no effect, though it shouldn't take long to wear. He can use "Granite Skin" before 50%.
  • Below 30% HP, he will use a targeted AoE Fire-based TP move "Blazing Angon". Barfira and Curaga are recommended. A BLM or DRK should be able to stun it. Can be used above 30% but damage seems to increase as his HP gets lower.
  • Around 25%, his Regen picks up and he tends to use Cures and "Granite Skin" much more frequently.
  • Elemental spells work very well. A decently geared RDM's Blizzard III does stable 670 dmg on it. It's recommended to Chainspell nuke at last 30%.
