Two pages, one subject. Is anyone up to the task of joining me and [[User:Snorglepuss|Snorglepuss]] in a rewrite of this element of the game and developing a new base template for individual Trust Magic pages?

Well, I'm still quite new to the game Lvl 55), thus it would probably better if you could tell my what you are planning to do exactly ^^ If I got this right, you want to rewrite the Trust pages, right? Then, what for and in what way?
The Roles line for each alter ego's page should conform to the way the game classifies them: by the icon to the left of their names in your trust menu. I'm following this Google doc - docs.google.com/document/d/1wF6NsovdawSiHo39OFeGxAW-KirP5oZ9d9-aJRG1ItE/edit - in naming the 7 categories. Sword (melee fighter), Bow (ranged fighter), Shield (tank), Staff (offensive caster), Wand (healer), Harp (active support), Bag (passive support). When I get around to it, I'd like to go thru all 119 trusts to ensure conformity. Trusts should also be grouped by these categories somehow to increase the ease of making up parties for each situation.
Alright, got this. Will we also be considering the colors of the icons? (dunno if they actually mean something, but I guess so)
And, how do we want to split the work?
Colours of the icons refer to the expansion of the character:
San d'Oria - Red
Bastok - Blue
Windurst - Green
Zilart - White
Promathia - Yellow
Aht Urghan - Purple
Goddess - Pink
Adoulin - Teal
Abyssea/Rhapsodies - Grey
Is this project still in progress?
Technically yes, I guess, but it seems no one has some kinda plan yet ^^' at least I still don't know exactly what there is to do except putting a box under every Trust page which groups them all ...
Well, I started playing around with a slightly adjusted layout before I came across this thread. I also didn't realize that users have a sandbox from which to work. Here is an example of what I would be interested in adding as a very basic starting point: ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Template:TrustNPC2
I would also like to see Trusts be added to the top bar drop down menu and also be sorted by Role.
I will look at setting up a sandbox so that I am not causing issues with the main site.
That looks like a good template with which to start. I would like to see something like "Usage" or "Best Situations" added to it, to specifically target situations for which each trust is specifically suited. That's actually my main goal in doing this. So, e.g., if someone was going to fight undead, they would be able to see that Mildaurion would be useful. Or, say, if someone was going to fight where AoE wouldn't be such a good idea, they could see which trusts don't do AoE (there's a lot that do). Maybe the ubiquitous "Notes" at the bottom might be sufficient, but there should be something to trigger members into thinking about entering info about trusts' situational uses.
I think this is all heading toward making a page listing all trusts with this in mind, though, since you would normally start assembling a party by looking at roles. Such as BG Wiki's page bg-wiki.com/bg/Category:Trust#Alter_Egos_by_Role.
